Woman arrested after hitting two officers in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) — A young woman was arrested for hitting two police officers early Sunday morning in Madison.

Officers were monitoring crowds in the 600 block of University Avenue when a 20-year-old woman crossed the street around 1:30, according to Madison Police Chief Koval’s blog.

As she was crossing the street, she fell and officers ran to see if she was hurt.

According to the blog, the woman was aggressive with the officers as they attempted to help her and ended up hitting two of them.

The woman was arrested and is facing charges for resisting, disorderly conduct, two counts of battery to a police officer, and possession of a false ID card.
