Madison firefighters create calendar with DCHS to help animals in need

MADISON (WKOW) — Firefighters are coming to the rescue of animals in the Madison area.

On Thursday, Marissa DeGroot with Dane County Humane Society (DCHS) brought along Sam Cooke and Sunny Pulver with Madison Fire Department to talk about their collaborative calendar featuring firefighters and pets.

Calendars will be available online, at DCHS’s Main Shelter and Thrift Store, some Mounds Pet Food Warehouse locations, and some other local businesses. The calendars cost $20 and all funds raised will support DCHS.

DCHS is also teaming up with Madison Police and Fire for their annual Madison Area Police and Fire Charity Ball hosted by Fire Fighters Local 311 and the Madison Professional Police Officers Association. The ball is on Saturday, November 2 at Monona Terrace. To learn more about tickets, click here.
