Fall is right around the corner, but today felt like mid-summer!

MADISON (WKOW) – Summer-like today with filtered sunshine. The weekend will be cooler and unsettled.

Dense fog burned off during the morning, giving way to partly sunny skies, plenty of humidity and warm temps in the low 80s.

Conditions will be muggy and mild with temps holding in the upper 60s.

Scattered showers & storms will develop through the morning and midday from SW to NE. They’ll be hit & miss, but it would be prudent to keep the ponchos handy for the Badgers football game, if you plan on attending.

Temps will be cooled a bit due to the rain, with highs in the mid 70s, though it’ll still be quite humid. Scattered showers and storms are expected overnight.

As a cool front passes by, more scattered showers are possible to end the weekend, with highest chances for this occurring in our southern and eastern areas in the morning. Temps will reach the low 70s.

We’ll pick up as much as 1 to 2 inches of rain this weekend, so low-lying areas may experience some standing water as flooding may be an issue. This will be especially true over our SW counties where the ground is the most saturated.

The first day of fall will be pleasant with sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
