Federal judge dismisses lame duck lawsuit

MADISON (WKOW) — A federal judge threw out a lawsuit challenging the laws passed during last December’s lame duck session.

During that session, Republicans passed measures that limited the power of incoming governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul.

U.S. District Judge James Peterson said the case should go before a state court, not a federal court, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
