Purple Ribbon Walk honors victims of domestic violence

MADISON (WKOW) — A number of people affected by domestic violence gathered outside the State Capitol Monday afternoon to honor the lives of people who died from domestic violence over the last year.

They took part in the Purple Ribbon Walk.

Similar events were held in Milwaukee and Stevens Point.

Forty-seven people in Wisconsin died in 2018 due to domestic violence.
