EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) — Wisconsin’s Workforce Development Secretary is finishing a state tour designed to keep talented workers in the state.
Secretary Caleb Frostman visited a software company in Eau Claire today.
This month, he’s been going to different companies to learn about their strategies for recruiting and retaining workers.
“I think the folks we’ve seen be successful have been creative… have thought outside the box. They’ve been inclusive whether it’s a marginalized population… there’s some folks that haven’t been in the workforce before but they’ve been also very aggressive so they’re sending unsolicited messages on LinkedIn,” Frostman said.
Frostman said he plans to have a roundtable with other leaders to share the information he’s gathered from companies in Wisconsin.
