The Wisconsin football team improved to (6-0) on the season after Saturday’s win against Michigan State, quarterback Jack Coan improved to (8-2) as a starter, he’s won his last 8 starts dating back to last season.
Coan is completing 76.3 percent of his passes ranking him second nationally. As the wins continue to pile up, so do the nicknames for Coan from him teammates.
“Jacky Heisman, Jacky Heisman! Long Island Laser! Now, he’s not going to come in,” said Wisconsin senior linebacker Chris Orr laughing with reporters on Monday.
“I think it does speak to the confidence we are building in him and I like that name, the Long Island Laser, that was a good one,” said Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor.
With a smile on his face, Coan said, “I don’t know if it adds to the confidence or anything like that but it’s all good stuff, it’s all fun it’s good to joke around with the guys a little bit.”
The No. 6 Badgers travel to Illinois on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
