2nd wettest October on record continues with more showers this weekend

MADISON (WKOW) – Dry and cooler for the next couple of days.

We don’t need more rain as this has already been a very wet month.

So far in Madison, we’ve picked up 4.42″ of rain, more than 3″ above average, making it the 2nd wettest opening to October on record.

Only other wetter first half of October was last year!

We stay mostly cloudy with lows near 40°.

On the back side of our departing system, we hold onto clouds and a breeze gusting out of the NW up to 30 mph. Conditions cool to with a high just shy of 50°.

High pressure moves back in allowing more sunshine and a warming trend to the mid 50s.

The upward temperature trend continues into the weekend. Wet weather pays another visit as well.Click here for your full forecast.
