Drier weather is back Thursday, but cold air settles in to end October

MADISON (WKOW) – Showers continue tonight, but cold air moves in Thursday with 20s possible Friday morning.

A quick-moving rather weak low pressure system will track through the area this evening bringing with it numerous showers. Most of the rain will wrap up around midnight tonight. We’ll pick up a tenth to a half inch of rain at most.

Conditions cool as the system exits with morning lows in the mid 30s. Temps only recover to the mid 40s with a sun-cloud mix.

We’ll start with some of the coldest conditions of the season so far in the upper 20s before rebounding to the upper 40s in the afternoon with lots of sunshine finally returning.

Mostly sunny Saturday with highs in the upper 40s. It now appears to be dry on Sunday as well allowing temps to warm to the mid 50s with a sun-cloud mix.
