UPDATE: Lanes reopen after multiple Beltline crashes

UPDATE (WKOW) —  All lanes are back open on the Beltline after multiple crashes early Tuesday morning.

One crash was on US 12/14 northbound near Gammon Road. The other was on US 12/18 westbound near University Avenue.

The incidents happened after the first measurable snowfall in southern Wisconsin.

Dane County dispatch officials tell 27 News salt trucks are trying to treat icy conditions on the roadway.

UPDATE (WKOW) — A lane of US 12/14 northbound near Gammon Road is back open after a crash Tuesday morning.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the left lane has reopened. The right lane in that area is still blocked.

MADISON (WKOW) — Multiple accidents on the Beltline are causing lane closures between Madison’s west side and Middleton.

All northbound lanes of US 12/14 are closed near Gammon Road because of a crash. Traffic is being diverted. No other details were given about this crash.

Crews are also responding to another crash on the Beltline near University Avenue. Dane County dispatch tells 27 News multiple vehicles were involved but there are no reported injuries.
