MADISON (WKOW) — The Wisconsin Historical Museum is celebrating a Wisconsin-made piece of Christmas history for the 14th year.
The Ever Gleaming exhibit tells the story of the aluminum specialty company of Manitowoc, which introduced the Evergleam aluminum tree in 1959.
The museum has original trees and clips from TV commercials, so people can reminisce about Christmases past.
“It is typically pretty popular. People really like to come and see the trees, especially if they were a part of their childhood. If they had aluminum Christmas trees as a kid, it’s really fun to come back and see them again,” said Ellen Antoniewicz, youth experience coordinator with Wisconsin Historical Museum.
The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday in November and the exhibit runs through January 4.
