Two arrested for bringing gun to fist fight, Madison police say

MADISON (WKOW) — Officers arrested two people for allegedly bringing a gun and pipes to what was supposed to be a fistfight Tuesday evening in an eastside Madison parking lot.

Madison police booked Larry T. Spinks, 34, and Lakisha M. Crawford, 31, into the Dane County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct while armed, according to an MPD incident report.

“A feud between several people was supposed to escalate to a prearranged rumble in an East Washington Ave. parking lot last night,” police said.

Three cars pulled into a parking lot in the 4000 block of East Washington Avenue Tuesday evening. Two people from Sun Prairie in one of the cars called police at 7:47 p.m. when they realized the others brought guns and a pipe. The two thought the brawl should only involve fists.

The other two cars took off when they learned the police had been called.

DeForest police and Dane County sheriff’s deputies pulled one of the cars over. MPD responded and searched the car. They found two pipes and a loaded handgun.
