Major winter storm impacting northern Wisconsin

MADISON (WKOW) –  A strong winter storm will cross through the Central Plains and Midwest slowing down holiday travelers.

SOUTHERN WISCONSIN FORECAST

Rain will transition to a light mix early Wednesday with the chance for precipitation ending around midday.

Winds stick around through Wednesday out of the WNW at 20-30 mph and gusts up to 40 mph! Because of this, a WIND ADVISORY will be in effect tomorrow from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Use some extra caution while driving as you’ll feel the strong crosswind on N-S roads and NE-SW roads, like US 151.

TRAVEL FORECAST
If you’re heading north and west, you’ll come across slippery and snow-covered roads.
