FITCHBURG (WKOW) — A car stolen from Madison ended up in a head-on crash in Fitchburg Saturday night.
Fitchburg police were sent to Rosenberry Road around 9 p.m. for a crash with injuries.
When police arrived, they found the car had slammed into a tree head-on. Police had to extricate the 16-year-old driver from the car. He was unconscious with serious injuries.
Shortly after, they found a 14-year-old passenger at his home nearby. He had serious facial injuries from the accident. Police also found a 21-year-old passenger about two blocks from the crash in a parking lot with possible broken legs.
Police think there may have been a fourth passenger in the vehicle as well.
All three people were taken to the hospital.
Fitchrona EMS and the Fitchburg Fire and Madison Fire Departments also assisted with the crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted with the crash investigation, which is on-going.
