Darlington Police Sgt. leaves post to become Cross Plains Chief

Tony Ruesga has been working for the Darlington Police Department for nearly 20 years. He most recently held a Sergeant position for the department. On Monday night, he was sworn in as Police Chief for the Village of Cross Plains.

His last day in Darlington will be January 2nd. Darlington Police posted on Facebook on Tuesday that Sgt. Ruesga will be greatly missed. He will be remembered for many reasons but being a Mexican-American himself, he helped bridge the gap between the agency and the Spanish-speaking population in the Darlington area.
