MADISON (WKOW) - Our mild December weather will continue one more day before a cool down on Friday. However temperatures will quickly rebound this weekend.

TODAY
An area of high pressure moved in from the Central Plains bringing a breezy NW wind. Despite this wind direction temperatures managed to climb into the low 40s with the help of partly to mostly sunny skies.

TONIGHT
Temps will be a bit cooler in the low to mid 20s.

THURSDAY
Conditions stay mild and mostly to partly sunny with highs around 40°.

FRIDAY
A dry cold front passes through dropping temps for the end of the week with highs around freezing.

WEEKEND
Temps rebound to the low 40s for the weekend, though Sunday will be cloudier than Saturday.

MONDAY
An area of low pressure develops with a light mix possible Sunday evening and Monday.

Temps drop through the day causing our precipitation to change over to light snow. Minor accumulations are possible.
