Wisconsin junior running back Jonathan Taylor was awarded the Doak Walker Award for the second straight season, given out to the nation's top running back, on Thursday night.
In his junior season, Taylor set the FBS record for most yards rushed in his first three seasons of play (6,080 and counting). The New Jersey native also leads the nation in touchdowns scored with 26 (21 rushing and 5 receiving).
Taylor also won the Doak Walker Award in 2018, after rushing for 2,194 yards and 16 touchdowns. This season he's rushed for 1,909 yards and 21 scores.
Taylor could have one more game remaining as a Badger, as Wisconsin faces Oregon in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. He said after the Big Ten Championship loss that he plans to play in that game, and he hasn't confirmed yet whether or not he will leave for the NFL after this season is over.
