MADISON (WKOW) - A brief cold spell on Wednesday with wind chills below zero in the morning.

TODAY
Highs climbed into the upper 20s under mostly cloudy skies.

A cold front moving in from the north will bring a few flurries our way this evening. Travel problems are not expected for the evening commute.

TONIGHT
On the back side of the front, temps plummet to the single digits. Wind chills by sunrise Wednesday will be around 0 to -10.

WEDNESDAY
Conditions stay cold with highs in the mid to upper teens. Wind chills 0 to -10. It'll at least be brighter than the past couple days.

THURSDAY
The warm up begins as high pressure moves east. Winds go clockwise around highs, so a bit of a breeze will set up out of the south, ushering in milder air/ Highs climb to the mid to upper 30s.

FRIDAY & WEEKEND
Highs continue to climb and our weather stays dry with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
