Wisconsin seniors hopeful for one final victory

CARSON, CA (WKOW) - The Badgers were back on the practice field on Sunday, with time running out until the New Year's Day Rose Bowl match-up with Oregon. That means the time is almost here for this Wisconsin senior class to don a 'W' one last time.

In addition to the potential early departures, this will be the swan song for a strong senior class. Over the past four years, this group has helped compile a 42-12 overall record. They've won three bowl games over that stretch - two of them New Year's Six bowls.

The senior class includes a pair of all-Big Ten linebackers who have been the emotional leaders of the defense. Zack Baun and Chris Orr are looking to go out with one final victory.

"The hard work and effort we put in to this, all the ups and downs, the expectations and the missed expectations - it will just put a cap on everything we've done," said Baun.

"We have reunions here for the Rose Bowl champions," said Orr. "It will solidify your legacy as a class, as a team. That's exactly what you want. It's an historic game. It would be a honor. It's a privilege just to play in it and it would be truly special to come out on top."

The Badgers have won five straight bowl games, which is the longest streak in Big Ten history.
