LOS ANGELES, CA (WKOW) - The Wisconsin football team did not have any football responsibilities on Wednesday. Instead, the team participated in Rose Bowl Media Day and then lined up for the official team pictures. This whole week has been special and emotional for linebacker Jack Sanborn. His father played at Oregon, and in a Rose Bowl game. But, Jack has only heard those stories second-hand. His father died when he was just four years old. Now, Jack will face his dad's alma mater in the biggest game of his life.

"My dad's friends, and even some of his teammates that he played for, they would tell me stories," said Sanborn, a sophomore linebacker. "I always like hearing their stories. I wasn't around him enough to really hear about it all. So it's a little bit of added emotion to the game. Just with Oregon, a team my dad played for, and I grew up watching. It kinda got me into the sport. And when I decided to come to Wisconsin I wanted to play in this game. I believe it's one of the best bowl games there are. And to play against that team, to play against my dad's former school, it means a lot."

Sanborn says one of his dad's former teammates will be in attendance.
