MADISON (WKOW) -- Saturday is the last day for the Holiday Fantasy in Lights at Olin Park in Madison and some cyclists decided to go through it on bike.
Madison Bikes organized the family-friendly ride as a way to kickoff a season-long winter bike festival.
In years past, the group has had a Winter Bike Week, but they wanted to use this as an opportunity to encourage families to get out and get active on bikes all winter long.
"One of our biggest problems with Winter Bike Week is that it's a gamble and you get one week and often you get freezing rain or polar vortexes, so having this relatively pleasant 20-30 degree weather is great," said Heather Pape, vice president of Madison Bikes.
Cyclists made sure to wear lighter-colored clothing and take extra safety precautions as they rode through the display alongside the cars.
