A mid-week cool down

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

MADISON (WKOW) - After a mild couple of days we'll see a brief return to winter during the middle of the week.

Temps climbed to the low 40s this afternoon, well above the average high of 26 degrees.

A cold front will move in from the west resulting in a few flurries later tonight with temps in the mid to upper 20s.

A few more flurries are possible mainly Tuesday morning with partly sunny skies. Winds pick back up out with gusts up to 30 mph out of the WNW. Highs will be in the upper 30s.

High pressure moves in from Canada allowing colder conditions to return. Morning lows will be in the single digits and afternoon highs will only be in the low to mid 20s. This is what seasonal cold weather feels like!

A strong area of low pressure moves in from the SW and rain showers will develop, especially for the afternoon and evening hours. Temps stay quite mild in the low to mid 40s.

Mostly cloudy and a bit colder with temps in the low to mid 30s.
