MADISON (WKOW) -- The Illinois men's basketball team rallied late in the first half to knock off Wisconsin 71-70. That ended a 15-game win streak for the Badgers against the Illini.
Kobe King led the Badgers with 21 points. Micah Potter chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds. Wisconsin led by six at the half. They were in front for much of the second half until Illinois went on a 10-2 run late to take the lead. The Badgers had the last shot of the game, but D'Mitrik Trice's runner did not fall.
Ayo Dosunmo led Illinois with 18 points. Kofi Cockburn added 15 points. The Illini improve to 11-5 overall (3-2 in Big Ten). Wisconsin's four-game win streak came to halt. The Badgers fall to 9-6 overall (2-2 in Big Ten).
