MADISON (WKOW) - Light snow is expected overnight with minor accumulations expected.

TONIGHT
A light mix will develop from the west by midnight. Highest chance for an inch or less of slushy accumulations will be in our northern communities.

Snow accumulation tonight through early Tuesday

TUESDAY
Light mix wraps up early in the day, but there may be slippery spots for the morning commute.

Sunshine returns for the afternoon with temps warming to the upper 30s.

It'll be breezy with winds picking up out of the west gusting up to 30 mph.

WEDNESDAY
Another chance for a wintry mix, this time through the day.

1-3" accumulations are possible with the highest chances, again, north of Madison.

Snow accumulation forecast through Wednesday

THURSDAY
Quiet but colder with temps in the teens to low 20s, though some sunshine will return.

FRIDAY
A stronger storm system develops over the Plains moving south of our area. Temps will moderate back to the mid to upper 20s.

We have a good shot at higher snow accumulations with snow possibly mixing with some freezing rain at night.

SATURDAY
Snow wraps up in the morning with colder air invading. Temps stay in the 20s.

SUNDAY
Very cold conditions return with highs struggling to get to the double digits.
