Community snow emergencies

Blue Mounds: The Village of Blue Mounds has declared a snow emergency that will go into effect at 12:00 AM on Saturday, January 18th, until Saturday, January 18th at 12:00 PM. When a snow emergency has been declared, no street parking is allowed. Residents who have no off-street parking available are encouraged to find alternate parking. The Village of Blue Mounds will issue citations and or tow vehicles if deemed necessary. Citizens are encouraged to monitor the Village of Blue Mounds website for updates.

Beloit: The city of Beloit declared a snow emergency from 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18. Vehicles are prohibited from parking or standing on city streets during a snow emergency, according to Beloit city ordinance. Residents are reminded to move their vehicles from the streets to a driveway or an approved off-site parking lot. The Beloit Police Department and/or Code Enforcement will ticket and/or tow away any motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer found in violation of this snow emergency declaration at the owner’s expense.

Clinton: A declaration of snow removal emergency is in effect for the Village of Clinton from 7 P.M. Friday Jan. 17, through 7 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 18. No parking is allowed on village streets during this snow removal emergency.  24-hour parking is available in the municipal parking lot in the 200 block of Mill Street. Vehicles must be moved after 24 hours in the municipal parking lot.

Janesville: The City of Janesville has declared a snow emergency for Saturday, Jan.18 beginning at 6 a.m. A snow emergency means that all parked vehicles must be removed from city streets and public parking lots until snow plowing operations are complete. To ensure that you do not receive a parking ticket, please move your vehicle prior to 6 a.m. and keep your vehicle off city streets until they have been completely plowed. **City staff HIGHLY suggests that residents move vehicles from the street as early as Friday evening due to the forecasted freezing rain.**

Pardeeville: The Village of Pardeeville has declared a snow emergency that will go into effect at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Such an emergency is declared for a period of 24 hours after the snow has ceased to fall. No person shall park, place or leave standing any automobile, truck or other vehicles on any street or public way except in the downtown business district and any vehicles over 10,000 pounds are exempt from parking on the east side of Gillette Street in the 300 and 400 blocks per village signage.

Stoughton: The City of Stoughton has declared a snow emergency.  Parking will be even / odd.  Goes into effect at Midnight to 8 A.M. and remains in effect until three (3) consecutive Midnight to 8 AM periods have elapsed, or the emergency is canceled or extended.

Sun Prairie: Beginning at 12:01 a.m. (midnight), on Saturday, January 18 and continuing until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 18, a snow emergency will be declared. A Snow Emergency means there is no parking on ANY City street until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 18, 2020 or until the snow emergency has been canceled. Vehicles parked on the street in violation of this ordinance can be ticketed ($50 fine) and may be towed.
