MADISON (WKOW) - A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect tonight and Sunday morning.

The accumulating snow has ended with storm totals between 4 and 6 inches in most area. SW Wisconsin saw the least with 2 to 4 inches.

Strong winds developed this afternoon. These winds will gust to 40 moh causing blowing and drifting snow, especially on north-south roads, through the night.

Temperatures have been falling rapidly through the afternoon and will bottom out near zero tonight. The strong, gusty winds will produce wind chills between -12 to -22 degrees. This has prompted a Wind Chill Advisory for all but our far northern and northeastern counties until Noon Sunday.

It will stay very cold through Tuesday before temperatures climb above average by Wednesday and remain above average through next weekend.
