MADISON (WKOW) - It will stay cold through the Tuesday, and then it will warm up.

With lows near 0 and a strong breeze blowing the day started off bitterly cold with wind chills around -10 to -20°.

Temperatures rebounded to around 20 along with diminishing winds which resulted in wind chills warming to above 0 in the afternoon.

Tonight, still cold in the single digits and on MLK Day, expect lots of sunshine with high pressure overhead, a calmer wind and highs getting to the low 20s.

Cold weather sticks around through Tuesday with highs in the low 20s again.

Temps get to around freezing Wednesday with light snow possible as an upper level low pressure system moves in.

That system will continue to impact us the rest of the week with a light mix possible through Friday and highs in the mid 30s.
