Slippery roads Wednesday evening through Friday night

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

MADISON (WKOW) - This quiet and cold weather will be warming up and turning unsettled.

This high provided clear skies and light winds last night. These conditions along with a fresh snow cover allowed heat to escape which resulted in lows around zero.

A broad, weak area of low pressure will move in allowing light snow to develop later in the afternoon and evening on Wednesday.

Weather set up by PM Wednesday

Light snow, mixed at times with some rain, is expected Thursday and Friday with temps in the mid 30s. Be prepared for slippery roads during this time frame.

The system exits by Friday night. Over those few days, we could pick up 2-4 inches of snow.

Quiet, mostly cloudy and mild for the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
