MADISON (WKOW) - We'll see a extended period of mainly light snow from tonight into Saturday morning that will gradually lead to significant accumulations.
Expect patchy light snow to continue through the night with an inch or two of accumulation by Thursday morning.
This patchy light snow will diminish to flurries during the afternoon and evening on Thursday. It may be mixed with a little drizzle. Little snow accumulation is expected.
Light snow, more widespread, and perhaps mixing with a little bit of rainfall in the afternoon and evening hours. An additional 2 to 4" is possible through Friday night.
Light snow wraps up in the late morning.
By the time the system exits Saturday morning, we will have picked up around 3-6 inches of wet snow.
Expect slippery road conditions from this evening through Saturday morning, especially on lesser-traveled routes and on untreated pavement.
You'll have to shovel, but because of the slow compilation of the snow, you can probably hold off until the weekend.
