Madison police looking for two men connected to two armed robberies

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Police are looking for two men after two stores were robbed in Madison on Saturday.

The Madison Police Department said the first armed robbery happened at Northside Liquors on N. Sherman Ave around 9:25 a.m.

The second armed robbery happened at the Citgo gas station on Northport Drive at about 12:07 p.m.

Like the first robbery, two men entered the gas station, one armed with a gun, and demanding money from the clerk.

Officials say the clerk gave the men the money and they left the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

The men were seen leaving in a silver Hyundai.

Police did arrive at the gas station and saw the suspects driving away but could not catch up, according to the Madison Police Department.

There were no injuries reported during this incident.

Officials say the man with the gun was wearing a cream-colored hoody sweatshirt and is believed to be 25-30 years old.

The other man is also believed to be 25-30 years old and was wearing a black winter coat with fur hood.

MADISON (WKOW) -- Police are looking for two men after an armed robbery at a liquor store in Madison happened on Saturday morning.

According to an incident report, Madison police officers were sent to Northside Liquors on N. Sherman Ave around 9:25 a.m. for an armed robbery.

Officials say two men, one with a gun, entered the store and demanded money from an employee.

A customer inside the store was also ordered to the ground by the men.

The men ran away after taking an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Madison Police Department.

When police arrived at the scene, they began checking for footprints in the snow. None were found. 

After checking video surveillance cameras in the area, police believe a silver/gray Hyundai might have some connections with the robbery.

There were no reports of any injuries.
