OREGON (WKOW) -- The recent winter weather has been a blessing and a curse over the past few days for some snow removal companies.

The business is always feast or famine, and recently it's been a feast.

"A little tiring, we're ready for a couple days off again," said Kevin Milestone, owner of Cutting Edge Lawn Care and Snow Removal.

He and his crew was wrapping up the third straight day of snow removal Saturday afternoon.

They'd been waiting for work after a mild start to the winter.

"It's been good, it's been like a routine because we start 5 o'clock in the morning and just work through the day then go home, get some sleep and back at it the next day," Milestone said.

But he didn't expect so many days of snow in a row.

"It's a little bit out of character three days in a row, I don't ever remember doing three days back to back to back," Milestone said. "We may have had a back to back, I don't think we've ever done three in a row."

His crews have had to clean up hundreds of sidewalks, driveways and parking lots in the past few days.

Now he says his crews are ready for a bit of a break before the next big bout of snow.

"Rest and relaxation, take a little break," Milestone said. "We'll have to do some maintenance of course, things break when you're out three days in a row so we got things to fix."

He says since he doesn't charge clients upfront as the season starts, he was starting to get concerned about the companies finances, but now he prefers staying busy.

"I like this a lot better, I would rather be out working than sitting on the couch," he joked.
