Wisconsin WBB falls, 72-71, in down-to-the-wire game against Nebraska

The battle between Wisconsin women's basketball and Nebraska was decided in the final minutes of the game - with the Huskers winning, 72-71.

The Badgers took the lead with 1:29 left in the game, when Imani Lewis nailed a go-ahead three pointer to lead, 68-67. However, the Huskers retaliated with a big three-point shot of their own to retake the lead with 1:03 left in the game. Nebraska held on, after getting fouled and making to free throws, to push their lead out to four points. Despite a Suzanne Gilreath three in the final seconds, the game was already out of reach without a foul to make a four-point play.

With the loss, the Badgers fall to 10-10 overall, 2-7 in Big Ten play. They'll travel to Indiana on Thursday, January 30th.
