VERONA (WKOW) -- Cyclists pedaled for 24 hours to raise money for Boys and Girls Club of Dane County.

Teams started riding indoors Friday night at 5 p.m. and biked non-stop until 5 p.m. Saturday, raising more than $4,000 for the club.

"It's really awesome to see people were out here 1, 2, 3 o'clock in the morning to raise funds for kids is just absolutely amazing," said Michael Johnson, president & CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Dane County.

Every year, SBR Endurance Performance in Verona holds a 24-hour cycling event, to support a different charity.

"I was coaching someone who works for Boys and Girls Club for a triathlon he was doing this fall and that was around the time we were starting to decide who are we going to work with this year for the relay, and we got to talking and decided it would be a really good fit," said Bill Martin, owner and head coach at SBR Endurance Performance.

The money raised will go towards summer programs at Boys and Girls Club.
