MADISON (WKOW) — It's what many of us have been waiting months for, it’s Girl Scout Cookie season!
Girl Scouts across the country are getting ready to start selling cookies this Saturday, giving members a taste of the real world while brightening the day of millions of consumers.
Thursday on Wake Up Wisconsin Marci Henderson, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Wisconsin- Badgerland Council and Cassie Riese, a Girl Scout Senior from Monroe stopped by the studio.
Cassie says she sold 905 cookie boxes last year. She plans to sell 950 boxes this year.
Henderson also announced that a cookie favorite, Thanks-A-Lot, will be discontinued after this season to make way for a new cookie next year.
"If that's [Thanks-A-Lot] is one of your favorites you're going to want to make sure you have a freezer full [of boxes] this year," said Henderson.
