Chilly weather, followed by a weekend warm up

MADISON (WKOW) - We say goodbye to February with below-average temperatures, but we enter March with a warm welcome.

Breezy winds out of the northwest will keep southern Wisconsin chilly.

Thursday morning, temperatures will be in the mid-teens but will feel like single-digits. It's a morning you'll want to bundle up!

Friday's temperatures will be very similar to Thursdays, with highs in the mid-20's and lows in the single-digits. Although, there's a better chance of seeing some sun.

Winds will eventually shift to the south. Which, will give southern Wisconsin warmer temperatures.

On Saturday, high temperatures will raise by more than 10°. The sun will shine off and on. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 30's.

Sunday, March 1 will be even warmer with highs in the mid-40's and lows in the 20's. Mostly cloudy skies will return, keeping us from reaching temperatures as warm as we saw the previous weekend.
