Another mild weekend ahead

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

MADISON (WKOW) - Back-to-back mild and dry weekends are hard to come by in the wintertime, but that's what's in store for us.

We stay chilly with below average temperatures to end the week before temps climb through the weekend.

The clouds cleared away today. But despite plenty of afternoon sunshine temperatures stayed below normal, with highs just in the upper 20s.

Overnight, temps dip to the low teens before rebounding to the mid and upper 20s again by Friday afternoon.

Another system develops over the Central Plains heading into the weekend. Before it gets here, expect chilly conditions to start Saturday morning in the upper single digits.

Then a warm front lifts through late in the day getting highs around the seasonal average in the mid to upper 30s.

Even warmer conditions are on tap to begin March on Sunday with highs in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees despite mostly cloudy skies.

Low to mid 40s continue for much of next week as well.
