GREENFIELD (WKOW) -- A Milwaukee-area church opened its doors Thursday night to people who wanted a place to come together after Wednesday's deadly shooting at Molson Coors in Milwaukee.
The Ridge Community Church in Greenfield typically has a service on Thursday nights, but it decided to turn this Thursday's service into a vigil for the five Molson Coors workers who were killed.
Hundreds filled the auditorium to sing, pray and reflect. The pastor encouraged everyone to breathe, mourn and pray.
"To pray for the families who this has affected, including the person who killed himself," said church member Wanda Welch. "I also hope that the message is for us to being change to the community."
"It's definitely heartbreaking," the church's Olivia Marks told 27 News. "Miller is an institution in Milwaukee and I've always thought of Milwaukee as being a big small town. So it really shakes us to the core a little bit."
