UW Health consolidates behavioral health and psychiatry care amid COVID-19 pandemic

MADISON (WKOW) -- UW Health is temporarily consolidating all of its behavioral health, substance abuse, and psychiatry care locations to one designated site in Madison.

UW Health announced Monday morning they are temporarily closing the following locations effectively immediately:

  • East Clinic - Behavioral Health Clinic
  • Deming Way Clinic - Behavioral Health Clinic
  • Yahara Clinic - Behavioral Health Clinic
  • 1102 S. Park - Behavioral Health & Recovery - Psychiatry

The Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) care at UW Health's 1102 South Park Street location will close Monday, March 30.

All services will be relocated to Wisconsin Psychiatry Institute and Clinics (WisPIC) at 6001 Research Park Boulevard in Madison.

UW Health officials say to support social distancing, they are adapting their behavioral health and psychiatry care to reduce in-person visits and move largely to phone and video visits.

In-person visits will be limited to patients who have critical needs that cannot be met by conducting their appointments by phone or video.

Patients can call the Behavioral Health access line at (608) 233-3575 with any questions or request an appointment.
