Weaver, Corvasie

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- U.S. Marshals arrested a man who is a suspect in a Janesville shooting death.

Authorities apprehended Corvasie Weaver, 24, of Joliet, Illinois in Tennessee Monday, according to the Janesville police department.

Officers sought Weaver in connection to the Jan. 5 shooting death of James C. Chestnut III, 40, from Romeoville, Illinois.

Janesville police say around 5 a.m. someone fired shots in the 600 block of W. Racine Street. Officers found Chestnut had shot and lying in the street.

The two men knew each other, according to police. Chestnut was at the home because he was dating one of the suspect's relatives who lived there, according to police.
