UW Health thanks staff on frontlines of coronavirus pandemic

MADISON (WKOW) -- Staff at UW Health are working hard to keep the hospital stocked with personal protective equipment during the coronavirus pandemic.

Workers from several departments are stepping up to meet the demand. They say they understand how important their job is now--especially with nationwide PPE supply shortages.

"I know how many people are depending on me to get the supplies here," said UW Health Inventory Control Coordinator Sandy Kreger. "A lot of long hours, nights, and weekends just to get the supplies here."

"You're always thinking about the patients," said UW Health Supply Coordinator Hillary Mogensen. "It could be a family member even, so you just try to keep going."
