(WKOW) -- We can't predict the future, but there are already studies being done showing whether the coronavirus can develop again in the fall, similar to the flu and other illnesses.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, says that could be the case.
"I think there is a reasonably good chance we will, given the pervasiveness of this infection and its transmissibility. I don't think it will be as bad because we have other things in our favor," said Fauci.
Fauci added that the U.S. will be prepared to have better equipment, and there's a number of drugs undergoing clinical trials as well as a vaccine being tested.
