MADISON (WKOW) -- Food Fight Restaurant Group will do its own phased-in approach as it opens restaurant dining rooms.
The group will open a few restaurants at a time, starting this Wednesday.
"We'll open two or three Wednesday and Thursday and then probably a couple every day after that," says Chief Operating Officer Caitlin Suemnicht.
Restaurant hours will not be updated on Google, Facebook or the individual restaurant websites.
Suemnicht says the first restaurants to open will have outdoor seating and a smaller capacity. They want to see how it goes with only a few restaurants instead of opening all 20 at once.
"Our plan is to take it slowly and test a couple restaurants at a time. To us, it doesn't feel like the smartest move to open all our restaurants at once," Suemnicht says.
The plan for which restaurants open first is still being worked out.
The restaurant group is also requiring all employees to wear masks and each restaurant will have a person on staff at all times whose job is only to clean.
"So this is something we put in place because of (the coronavirus) and who knows? This might be something we have in place from here on out. We might be able to come out of this safer, cleaner and potentially more streamlined," says Suemnicht.
All dining rooms of Food Fight restaurants should be open in the next two to three weeks.
