MADISON (WKOW) - Our warm, unsettled weather pattern continues before drying off heading into the weekend.
An area of low pressure with a trailing front has approached the Upper Midwest.
It'll slowly trudge through our area through Thursday, increasing our threat for heavy rain.
Expect another warm, humid day with temps in the low to mid 80s.
Scattered showers and storms will pop-up, mainly this afternoon and evening.
We'll have a few showers linger overnight with patchy fog before more scattered showers and storms return through Thursday.
Hot spots will pick up a half-inch of rain today with another inch for Thursday.
There is a "slight" level 2 risk for flooding on Thursday.
Don't drive or walk through any standing water as you won't know how deep it is.
It'll be milder due to the more consistent rain threat with temps only in the low 70s, but it'll stay muggy.
Friday through the weekend will be dry and mild with a good amount of sunshine. Lows will be in the mid 40s to mid 50s and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
