Beloit man charged with three felonies after hit-and-run crash

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- One man has been arrested for hit and run crash that happened in Rock County Friday night.

Rock County Sheriff's Deputies were sent to a two vehicle crash at East State Highway 67 and South State Line Road in Turtle Township.

Timothy Holmes, a 27-year-old from Beloit, was driving westbound on Hwy 67 when he rear ended a car that was turning south onto Stateline Road. Both vehicles continued to travel westbound until they came to a stop in a nearby ditch.

A 44-year-old man from Sharon was hurt in the crash and was taken to Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford. Holmes, and the two passengers he was driving ran away from the scene.

About an hour later, authorities located Holmes and his passengers. They were taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries.

Holmes was then arrested for three felony charges, including hit and run causing great bodily harm.
