COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says downed trees blocked roads and led to extensive damage to homes and buildings after storms moved through Tuesday night.

Sheriff Roger Brandner says between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., deputies responded to and cleared 57 incidents of trees on roads and homes, and downed power lines.

Brandner says there are many people without power Tuesday night. Utility companies were working to restore power.

The sheriff says there are no reports of injuries.
