No overnight violence or looting reported, 2 arrested for spray painting in downtown Madison

MADISON (WKOW) -- Protests in downtown Madison remained peaceful Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

The Madison Police Department reported two arrests for spray painting in the area.

They said demonstrations ended shortly after midnight and the group left the area without any incidents.

In a news release, the police department thanked the protesters who participated in a "safe and peaceful event."
