A dry and cooler weather pattern is on the way

MADISON (WKOW) - After two days of heavy rain, drier weather is expected heading into the weekend.

SET UP
High pressure moves in from the Central Plains allowing lots of sunshine.

We have one more incoming cold front from the north. It produced a few isolated showers and thunderstorms north of Madison this afternoon.

Great outdoor weather on the way!
Plenty of sunshine means that sunscreen will be important.

TONIGHT
Nice and crisp tonight under clear skies with temps in the low to mid 50s.

FRIDAY
Another area of high pressure builds in from Canada keeping us mild in the mid 70s with plenty of sunshine.

SATURDAY
Cooler air invades with temps in the upper 40s early in the morning before only getting to the upper 60s by the afternoon with full sunshine.

SUNDAY
Mostly sunny skies continue with temps in the low 70s.

MONDAY
Partly sunny skies in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY
Partly sunny and warmer with an isolated shower possible with a warm front moving through and highs around 80°.

WEDNESDAY
Temps jump to the upper 80s under partly sunny skies.
