UPDATE (WKOW) -- Dive teams planned to continue searching Sunday until dark, though as of Sunday afternoon they had not found the missing man.

The team will be back out Monday if he's not found Sunday evening.


UPDATE (WKOW) -- Authorities say they've called off the search for a missing boater on Lake Kegonsa for the night.

Dane County sheriff's officials say the rescue crews had to stop their search near the Amundson Landing and Park on Quam Drive around 9:30 p.m.

It was a little over two hours after a man jumped off a boat and didn't come back up.

Officials say the Fish Camp Boat Launch at Fish Camp County Park in McFarland will be closed Sunday, as dive teams return to search the area.


STOUGHTON (WKOW) -- Crews in Dane County are responding to Lake Kegonsa right now for a water rescue.

Dane County Communications tells 27 News the call about the boater came in shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.

Dane County's water rescue team and Stoughton Fire and EMS are responding, according to dispatchers. Stoughton fire says they were called to the area of Quam Drive.

Dane County sheriff's officials say someone jumped off a boat and didn't come back up.
