MADISON (WKOW) - Shower and storm chances will be much more limited compared to the widespread activity from Monday.

RAIN RECAP
Central and southern parts of the viewing area experienced some gusty winds, small hail, lots of lightning and very heavy rain.

TODAY
It'll be very warm and humid again with high temps in the upper 80s. It'll feel more like around 90° when humidity is factored in.

Otherwise, expect a sun-cloud mix with a very high UV index, so keep the sunblock handy!

This afternoon and evening, there is an isolated storm chance, but most of the region stays dry.

TONIGHT
Muggy and warm with temps in the upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY
Another very warm and humid day with high temps in the upper 80s and heat index values around 90°.

A few more isolated showers or storms are possible as another front moves in from the west. Highest chance for the activity looks to be in western and southwestern Wisconsin.

THURSDAY
Isolated storm chances remain with heat and humidity sticking around, too. Highs get to the upper 80s with heat index values in the low 90s.

FRIDAY
Mostly to partly sunny skies, hot and humid with temps in the upper 80s, feeling like the low 90s.

INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND
Mostly sunny, hot and humid with highs around 90° and heat index values in the mid 90s.
