MADISON (WKOW) -- Looking for a job? The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce can help you find one.
Tuesday afternoon, the group is hosting the first ever Virtual LGBTQ+ and Allies Career Fair. It runs from noon to 3 p.m.
“We know that LGBTQ individuals – as well as allies – want to work for companies and organizations that value diversity and inclusion. Studies have shown the importance of being able to bring one’s best self to work. This event is so important in our work to build a welcoming and inclusive community.” said Jason Rae, President & CEO of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
An in-person career fair was scheduled in Milwaukee, Madison and Appleton this spring, but was canceled due to COVID-19.
People who participate will have the chance to meet one-on-one with more than 25 companies, share resumes and talk about potential opportunities. All of the activities will take place online through BoothCentral.
The event is open to anyone and free to attend.
